If I was to say TBI or traumatic brain injury, you would immediately think of someone that has had a significant blow to the head with loss of consciousness thereafter awakening with an altered mental status, amnesia, or even nausea/vomiting and a headache. What if I was to tell you that you do not need to have any of those to occur and still develop symptoms and syndromes that are associated with ; CTE, PTS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, MS, ALS, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, cognitive and emotional decline.
